the Board & CEO
2025 will likely be remembered as a year unlike any other. The construction of the Leisure Aquatic Expansion Project (LEAP) became a defining focus, reshaping daily operations and, at times, overshadowing normal routines. Work extended into nearly every corner of the facility, with major initiatives including the replacement of the Centre’s boiler system, upgrades to the main switchgear power supply, enhancements to the competition pool, and a significant expansion to the west and south.
Operating through construction of this scale is no small feat—something many will appreciate firsthand. While a temporary closure may have been faster or even less costly, it would not have aligned with our mission, vision, or values. Our mission—passionate about sport, people, and community—along with our vision of being a world-class facility that inspires individuals and teams, guided our decision to remain open. Above all, our commitment to safety, legendary service, excellence, and innovation drove us to continue serving our community and striving to exceed expectations.
With that in mind, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the Centre throughout this challenging year. While operations were not without their difficulties, we are proud to have kept most areas accessible and to have continued delivering services to our members.
Beyond construction, both MNP Community & Sport Centre and Lindsay Park Sports Society achieved several key milestones, including strong customer satisfaction and solid financial performance.
None of this would have been possible without the support of our valued partners. We gratefully acknowledge the City of Calgary, MNP LLP, the Province of Alberta, our members, sport partners, employees, construction teams, and all stakeholders for their continued trust and collaboration.
